Resource Teacher

Sunrise Waldorf School is currently accepting applications for a part time Resource Teacher starting for the 23/24 school year (one day per week). 

 

Established in 1980, the beautiful seven-acre Sunrise campus is in the Cowichan Valley, near Duncan BC.  Sunrise is a full AWSNA member school and a Group One independent school under the BC Ministry of Education with a mission to educate and inspire students to reach their full potential through a rich and artistic Waldorf curriculum.    

 

The ideal candidate will have a B.Ed, BC Teaching Certificate, Waldorf teacher training and/or have teaching experience in a Waldorf school as well as training in Special Education in the Waldorf School setting

 

Sunrise seeks a caring and collaborative educator with knowledge of and experience with supporting students who have diverse learning and behavioural profiles and approach their work from a compassionate, child-centered and trauma-informed perspective. The successful candidate will have experience in creating inclusive classrooms, student assessment and reporting, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of the child development principles used in Waldorf Education.
