Receptionist/Office Assistant
Sunrise Waldorf School is accepting applications for a part-time, hourly Receptionist/Office Assistant for immediate assignment. The successful candidate will act as the primary office contact with students, teachers, parents, and the general public.
This hourly position is 37.5 hours/week Mon-Fri from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (1/2 hour lunch) when school is in session. Limited additional hours may be requested during school holidays. $22-24.50 per hour. Extended health and dental benefits included as well as partial .75 tuition remission if your child is enrolled at SWS. Only applications from Canadian citizens or residents can be considered. The Receptionist/Office Assistant performs front office reception and reference for the school community, interfacing with students, parents, faculty, and administration throughout the day. The Receptionist/Office Assistant supports the general day-to-day functioning of the administration office and a wide array of administrative, clerical, and functional tasks for the School as well as the provision of basic first aid and conflict resolution.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

· Excellent interpersonal skills with school age children and parents
· Ability to take direction and work independently
· Well organized and conscientious
· Operates office equipment efficiently and accurately
· Computer fluency, including strong Microsoft Office skills
· Working knowledge of Student Information System, such as MyEdBC required
· Knowledge of Waldorf Education preferred
· Current first aid certificate (or complete training prior to start)
