2025 2026 Re-registration link

Please find the link below for all current families from Kindergarten to Grade 7 to re-register for 2025-2026. This is the same link that went out to all parents earlier today. Please contact admissions@sunrisewaldorf.org if for some reason you didn't receive it. There is a $200 per student deposit that is required to confirm re-registration, and the forms are due back by February 28th.

Parents of students returning for a second year in Preschool, and those moving from Preschool to Kindergarten, will be sent Preschool registrations and New Student registrations respectively. We hope to have these ready in the next week.

Having students re-registered in a timely manner greatly supports the school’s organization for the coming year in staffing and planning decisions, so thank you for your prompt attention to this process. Please see the letter linked below regarding our new registration and payment system.

If you are planning to apply for Tuition Assistance, please contact Joy at finance@sunrisewaldorf.org. She will provide you with a link to the TA application form after you have completed re-registration.

Let your friends and family know about these upcoming events, or come along yourself!

Tour Through the Grades: Tuesday, February 11th, 9am

Come on a tour through our grade school classrooms and experience Waldorf Education in action. There will be refreshments and time for questions afterwards.

As we will be entering classrooms during class time, this event is for parents/caregivers and babes in arms only. Please RSVP using the link below to save your spot as space is limited.

Kindergarten Open House: Saturday, February 8th, 10am-12pm

This Open House is designed for parents and children who turn 4 by December 31st 2024 and are eligible for kindergarten this September. Siblings are welcome to attend as well.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the space, take part in typical kindergarten activities, including circle time and crafts, and chat with teachers and staff about the program. You will leave with a better understanding of the Waldorf approach to play-based learning for the kindergarten child, and the steps to complete and submit an application for our kindergarten programs.

News from the SWPA

Parent Enrichment Book Club for upper grade parents

Andrea Larsen will be hosting a cozy “fireside chat” focused on the bestselling conscious parent title, Hold Onto Your Kids by Gordon Neufeld PhD and Gabor Mate MD.

“This parenting classic on one of the most disturbing and misunderstood trends of our time--peers replacing parents in the lives of children--is now more relevant than ever. The latest edition includes new material on how social media and video game culture are affecting our children, and what parents can do.”

There is a copy of this title in the parent lending library, and Volume One bookshop in Duncan has a handful of copies arriving soon, but please hurry if you need a copy from them.

UPDATE: February 7th cancelled due to low enrollment.

Next session: 28th at 7pm.

Light munchies will be provided by SWPA. Please RSVP to info@andrealarsenrncp.com if you would like to attend and for the address.

Parent Enrichment Workshops focused on the early years with Ruth Ker will begin in March. Stay tuned!

The SWPA is in the early stages of planning a Library Refresh, focused primarily on the furniture. If you happen to have any contacts in commercial grade wood furniture, please reach out to Katharine Herringer (swpa@sunrisewaldorf.org) OR if you are a woodworker looking to donate your time, we'd be very happy to hear from you.

The next PA meeting is Wednesday, February 19th at 4pm. All parents welcome.
